Lead Scientist

 

The Royal Institution of Australia is seeking to fill a new role of Lead Scientist.  As the scientific centre of the organisation, the role will be a high-profile representative of the organisation in public and media spaces, adding credibility and strength to the organisation.

 

An experienced scientist with strong communication skills – the role will promote the principles of quality science to the wider community.

 

Offered at between 0.2 and 0.4FTE, with flexibility to operate from anywhere within Australia.

This role leads a significant Team responsible for the production, delivery and audience of Australia’s Science Channel. Ensuring the tone, direction and policies for content published on all platforms meets our editorial standards.  Grow and maintain an audience, and develop products that increase commercial opportunities for the organisation.

Developer

 

We are looking for an experienced, creative and enthusiastic developer to join us as an integral member of our
product development team. You will play a lead role in the creation, design, development, testing and maintenance
of all digital products within the organisation.
You’ll be self-motivated, good at multi-tasking with a positive and flexible approach to work. Ideally you are
interested in, or are curious about science.

 

Based in Adelaide, this role is offered on a 1.0FTE basis for an initial 12 month contract from September 2017.
