About ASSETS
The ASSETS Program is an annual, national program designed to engage 30 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in science and technology education. The program provides opportunities to participate in an exciting and engaging science, cultural and leadership program. It is a rigorous and challenging science and technology program conducted by leading educators and scientists at The University of South Australia, SA Water, RiAus and the Australian Science and Mathematics School.
It consolidates cultural understandings and leadership potential, together with supporting young people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander backgrounds as they work to achieve their goals and future aspirations.
Thank you for supporting our micro donation campaign – Helping us close the gap in indigenous education
Our first micro donation campaign has successfully reached its end on Sunday 22 January. We want to thank all of you who supported our cause, talked about us with your friends, and most of all decided to back us up financially. With your support two young people can follow their dream during the 2012 ASSETS program. We managed to raise $3747 with a commitment from Orica Limited to make a donation of the balance required to reach our target of $5,000. These funds will all be used to support this unique program.
