Kathy joined RiAus in March 2010 as Development Manager, she also manages RiAus memberships. Kathy believes that educating communities about scientific issues is important for growing strong, sustainable societies and is excited to be involved in such a dynamic community at RiAus. Kathy trained as a scientist, earning a BSc Hons from Adelaide University and a PhD in Microbiology from Monash University/CSIRO AAHL. She also completed postdoctoral training at the Weill-Cornell Medical School in New York City before moving to the New York Academy of Sciences to work in science communication and development.
