Seven deadly sins: Sloth – Book Club: Do androids dream of electric sheep?

Continuing our examination of the science of the Seven Deadly Sins, our March Book Club selection covered Sloth — with Philip K Dick’s 1968 novel Do androids dream of electric sheep?, (the book on which the film Blade Runner was based).

In a post-apocalyptic world where massive species extinctions have occurred, humans have set off for other planets. Those who remain on earth covet any living creature, and for people who can’t afford one, companies build incredibly realistic simulacrae: horses, birds, cats, sheep. . . They even build humans.

Our Book Club discussion explored just what it means to be human.
