Seven deadly sins: Gluttony – the lure of chocolate
Chocolate. Doesn’t everyone love it? More than just satisfying a “sweet tooth”, there’s something special about chocolate that brings out the passionate foodie in many of us. In this two part event we examined firstly what is it about chocolate that makes it so desirable, with Haigh’s chief taster Brendan Somerville.
For most, indulging in the occasional piece of chocolate is a simple enjoyment of life, but for some, the lure can prove irresistible and the desire insatiable. For the second part we were joined by Robyn Moffitt whose research examines some of the useful tools we can implement to help manage chocolate (and other food) cravings to ensure we can eat healthily, and enjoy it!
