Journey to the Centre of the Earth in fact saw Science Outside the Square  journey to Whyalla, where Prof Ian Plimer wowed a public audience with his fascinating expose of the what lies beneath the earth’s crust. Plus he, young geologist Bethany Lawrence and SACOME’s Andy Becis talked mining-related careers to an enthusiastic group of high-school students keen to learn how they might strike gold in the job market.
