Invisible worlds

On Sunday afternoon RiAus hosted a wide-ranging discussion with Lynette Wallworth (ReKindling Venus: In Plain Sight), Douglas Trumbull (2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner), Tim Baier (creator of 3D movie Standing in Amazement) and Dr Chris Fluke (Swinburne’s Centre for Astrophysics & Supercomputing) exploring how new technologies are reshaping possibilities for artists and scientists to visualize the realms of the virtual, microscopic or cosmic.

What was invisible is becoming visible for the first time. Ideas, spaces, discoveries, concepts, processes, imaginary places and investigations are all being made visible, and in some cases immersive.

Presented in association with the Bigpond Adelaide Film Festival
