Club Cosmos: From Sci-Fi to Sci-Fact

At Performance Space at CarriageWorks, Sydney

The Awfully Wonderful exhibition at Sydney’s Performance Space combined sci-fi, art and science to take us on an amazing journey from science fiction to science fact. What is it about these visions of the future that inspire humans to make them a reality?

Hosted by COSMOS Editor, Wilson da Silva, our panel—Barry Brook, Bryan Gaensler and Mary-Anne Williams—explored whether Arthur C Clarke was right when he claimed science fiction was more than escapism and that it is in fact an ‘…escape into reality’.

In association with Performance Space and COSMOS magazine.
