Bio:Fiction

Synthetic biology is no longer a distant and unrealistic possibility. It is now possible to design and construct biological systems not found in nature. So how will our society be shaped by this amazing new realm of science?

Complementing the LIFE 2.0 exhibition, RiAus was delighted to be one of the first international venues to screen the festival highlights of the world’s first ever film festival dedicated to synthetic biology.

RiAus screened a selection of short fictions, science animations and documentaries that raise questions about synthetic biology and its ramifications for our daily lives.
