Great Big Science Read: A sea of words

Family Friendly Event

Kim Michelle Toft is a full time marine artist, author, illustrator and publisher of environmental children’s books depicting vibrant underwater worlds hand painted on silk.  Her books, One Less Fish, A Sea of Words: An ABC of the Deep Blue Sea and The World that we Want have all featured on this year’s SA Premiers Reading Challenge booklist for primary readers.  Hosted by Paul Willis, this session explored how families can best use science as a topic for education, entertainment and increasing the literacy of students.

Our audience joined us for the talk and had the chance to win Kim’s latest silk painting.
