Chocolate has long been associated with love and passion. But what makes chocolate so irresistible?

In the lead up to Valentine’s Day, Haighs’ chief chocolate taster, Brendan Somerville will explain our addiction in ‘Gluttony: The Lure of Chocolate’.

“Chocolate, the food of the gods, once known only to the peoples of meso-america as a spicy drink and the beans used as currency is now one of the most affordable and indulgent treats,” Mr Sommerville said.
