Art, pattern & complexity
Exhibition Artists:
Winner BankSA Best Visual Art and Design, Adelaide Fringe Awards 2012
Sam Songailo winner Eran Svigos Award for Best Visual Art, Adelaide Fringe Awards 2012
Artists are exploring ideas about pattern and complexity that draw on the latest scientific and mathematical theories. Their paintings, installations and interactive artworks feature mesmerising optical patterns and digitally-generated complex behaviour. The exhibition coincides with the March issue of Artlink magazine on Art, Pattern and Complexity.
Exhibition open from 16 February – 16 May 2012, 10am – 5pm Monday to Friday. Open later during RiAus events.
Pricking 1.2 by MESNE Design Studio is digital/multi media piece comprising an interactive multi-touch table and custom developed design software – allowing the user to create intricate lace patterns in an ever growing catalogue. Each lace pattern created during the exhibition will be instantly printed on a 6×4″ index card and automatically uploaded to MESNE Design Studio’s Flickr account. View the art created by visitors.
