SCINEMA 2011
SCINEMA Festival of Science Film, video and multimedia showcases science dramas, docos, animations and shorts. In 2011 SCINEMA received over 400 entries from 35 countries, and featured entries from professional filmmakers, amateurs, and student-groups, making it one of the foremost science film festivals in the world.
The best movies from SCINEMA were screened in Adelaide on Saturday 13 August during Family Screenings at Mercury Cinema and Wednesday 17 August on RiAus Film Club.

- Best Animated/ Experimental Film – Teclopolis (Argentina) Director: Javier Mrad
- Best Student Film – Pool Power (Australia) Victoria Burnet
- Highly Commended Student Film – The Messy Meat Pie Muncher (Australia) Ramingining School, Years 8 and 9
